the nature-rich town of Odawara has been a center of woodworking since the early Heian period (794-).
Over the years a variety of woodworking techniques developed, including wood turning,
Hakone Yosegi parquetry, assembly, marquetry, and other forms of joinery.
Odawara is home to La Luz woodwork factory, where we create pleasant lifestyles through designs that employ the diverse qualities of wood.
Our environmental initiatives include using wood from trees thinned to maintain local forests.
Blessings of the forest combine with the techniques of our forefathers.
